My Favorite Computer Game of All Time

It's pretty obvious that I dig entertainment a lot. When I was small, all I care about is gratifying myself with entertainment, especially games. I performed well in studies to look forward for better consoles from my parents and relatives. Funny ain't it?

I got my first video game which was Micro Genius when I scored first position in Second Grade. Man, did I not regret that I was clever. Lol.


Man, these are freaking ancient wei!
Back then, Super Mario was a hit, big time!


As time passed, I played various of new games in Micro Genius console. My parents couldn't get me other consoles as they were too expensive for the family to purchase at that time till my parents got the family a computer after my excellent education performance once again during UPSR.

That's when the real fun begins. ;)

I was introduced to my favorite computer game of all time.

STARCRAFT!!!!

It is undeniably the best game that I've every played and it's because I love Real Time Strategy, a lot! Of course, the minimum micro managing made it even better than Warcraft 3 as I just can't micro manage as well with that many abilities all at once.

It's basically a futuristic game where humans encountered 2 different alien species while exploring the universe. And boy oh boy did the battle grew big as time progressed. For those who have no idea, think Alien vs Predator.

Humans, known as the faction Terran, came from Earth with their technology such as guns, rifles, nuclear bombs, huge ass battlecruisers and other war machines are in outer space to claim new territories till they encountered an alien bug like race called Zerg.

They tried to domesticate the alien race in a specific planet, but to no avail. Then out of the sudden, another mysterious alien race called Protoss destroyed Terran's domestication plan when they simply blew up the entire planet. These Protoss yield psionic abilities and warping technologies which of course, made it seemed like Predator.

Obviously my favorite race is the mysterious and organic race that can survive outer space without technologies, Zerg. It is practically what every Chinese would want, cheap, nice and good value for money (pheng, leng, zheng)


Its units are the cheapest in terms of cost in the game compared to other races, they look stunningly beautiful (actually vile) and they are definitely good value for money. Just pump on the numbers of 1 particular unit and you'll see what I mean.

Try Zergling for example in a flat map with no rivers and cliffs and you'll definitely buy my approach.


This idea of course applies to my favorite versatile Hydralisk as well who shoots spines out of its back. They can strike both ground and air units.

However, I must say that the other 2 factions have deadly units as well in their arsenal. Terran's best unit would definitely be its Siege Tank in my opinion.


6 of these heavyweights in siege mode and they can practically lay everything to waste in no time providing it has melee support in case of incoming hostile troops. They do splash damage and could definitely hurt a large amount of Zergs. :(

Protoss have Carriers which are their huge as spaceship but with no testicle. Cause they don't have guns. Instead, they sent out smaller ships called interceptors which has huge balls but small body (low hp) to do the fighting. It's quite cool when 18 Carriers cowardly stayed still at one side while their small balls (8 for 1 Carrier, that makes 144 small ships with huge balls out fighting for their ball-less captains) fight enemy.


Nothing to be worried about seriously. The thing that hurts Zerg the most from Protoss is Psionic Storm! It last about 3 seconds in 1 area and practically if used in a strategic place, that would spell death for at least 20 zerglings or 10 hydralisks easily. :(


It's really a fun game as there are always advantages and disadvantages against each faction and really depends on how you time your building strategies.

That's why, my favorite game of all time is definitely, Starcraft!

Can't wait for Starcraft 2 to be out as well!

P.S. I'm gay so this doesn't really make sense. But among all the blog post I've seen out there saying their favorite games, how come I don't see one honest person admitting that their favorite game is Ganguro Girl?
