My First Trip to Kota Kinabalu

Thanks to the Sabahan Bloggers Gathering and me working in Nuffnang, I got to fly for the first time in my life.


It's been long due blog post as it practically happened like 2 weeks ago but I just have time to blog about it today due to my busy work and personal life. I apologize for the delay.

It's been awhile since Zach and I has been traveling or been to anywhere that would require us to stay in a hotel. The last was during our anniversary where we went Genting where we had a bath tub to utilize to bath (and you figure out what else). So for this one, we were kinda expecting a bath tub there, but :( nope, there wasn't any.

Irregardless, it was no excuse not to camwhore in the hotel room. Well, Zach had the most fun doing that as I was really trying to get some rest.


Okay fine, I joined in and we did something silly as well for a picture.


When the time of the gathering drew near, we proceeded to Imperial Hotel's function room where the gathering was held. There, we were greeted by the organizing committees who were busy registering bloggers who are attending the gathering.

As I'm representing Nuffnang, of course, I had to wear a lil' proper to indicate corporate responsibility and thus I went with a coat but with T-shirt and jeans to strike the balance between formal and casual.

The interior of Imperial Hotel was not shabby at all. As it was a dinner gathering, there were tables with chairs in the whole area and they were all nicely decorated with table cloths and dead branches.


I can't help but to take a bite at their table cloth as I was famished.


As we arrive quite early and the function room is facing the ocean, we were served with spectacular scenery which Zach enjoyed a lot. I have to admit that it is pretty, but if you'll let me choose, I'll always choose architecture scenery rather than natural scenery. :)


Then I was approached by Daniel Franklin Gomez, one of the key organizer for the Sabahan Bloggers Gathering. And I tell you this guy is hot and friendly! Here's a picture of him.

All of the sudden, I realized that I was required to give a speech as entasked by Exabyte and representing Nuffnang. Though I'm not exactly scared to give one spontaneously, but it is not my call to be free flow or not as I have a company's image to uphold. Thus I asked Zach to help me draft out my speech as my writing sux to the max.


As the bloggers starting to show in big numbers, the gathering soon started.


I was then invited to give a word or two representing both Exabytes and Nuffnang which I did with great honor.


Carrying a note while giving a speech is not cool. I oughta remember that the next time I give a public speech
Overall, the gathering was really fun as people do get to mingle around but in a more subtle and gentle way compared to what I did for Nuffnang Wild 'Live' Blogging but nevertheless, it was cool as there were lots of nice performances by people who blow really well.

And when I say blow, they can really blow certain things big~~~


We were also thrilled to have met Blue who has been very friendly to both my and Zach for quite a while. Her company for the night was no doubt warm and nice. :D


Being to Kota Kinabalu for Sabahan Bloggers Gathering was an experience I cannot forget. I am ever thankful for my company Nuffnang for this opportunity and honored to be a part of it as well. I vow to give more to the Nuffnang community by bringing more exciting events and surprises!

P.P.S. I was surprised that Good big things do come in small packages. And by small I mean young. Lol. You get what I mean. ;)
