Namewee Does Not Represent the Chinese Community

Of course, he is entitled to his own opinion, I'm entitled to mine and you are entitled to yours.

I'm writing this blog post in response to one of his latest videos that bashes TNB for the blackout he experienced in Muar.

Check it out

From my observation, he appears to be somewhat irrational in his actions. Of course, the initiative to find out more about the inconvenience caused to him is good, but not willing to be engage conversation and understanding the situation proves that he's just a hot headed person that blows up whenever things don't go his way.

In addition, from the way the video is made, it is as if, he is trying to fan racial tension indirectly as he showed himself speaking in Chinese while having all the TNB staffs who happened to be all Malays (confidently) to be against him.

Upon watching this video, I must say I am ashamed if anyone is to associate me together with Namewee as a Chinese. I think irrational, hot headed, unreasonable people exist in all races. Namewee is one from the Chinese community.

I know that he's angry that his place has no electricity often due to breakdowns, but yelling and scolding TNB without understanding more isn't exactly very helpful, what else taking video of himself scolding TNB and bashing TNB (showing Malay TNB staffs) intensify the fragile racial tie especially among the ones easily influenced (not enlightened Chinese students and practically any conservative Malays).

Tell me your views on this.

Do you feel that what he did was rational for himself and the community?

Cheers
Robb

one thing is for sure - he's brave..

some rationally speaking, his actions are too much and impolite.. he should have asked in a proper manner.. seeking answers without discriminating or condemning the workers at TNB.. =)

He's a tard.. root cause possibly because he doesn't understand the difference between a shutdown and a breakdown ..

i wouldn't call it remotely close to brave.. just barbaric and Neanderthal-ish.. in fact i dont think it made the Malays (as you said) look bad at all.. just made the Chinese look stupider

Ray said...

plus the last song he made was really bad...not because it was distasteful...its badly put together..made no musical sense

Seriously I'm not a fan of his since his first debut on Malaysia anthem thingy.
Ok, Malaysia indeed has its bad side but then, keep kutuk-ing and make a big fuss about anything isn't going to help anyway. It just simply seeding "yeah lo.. I also beh tahan" thoughts in other people's mind.
Gosh, please leave Malaysia if you seriously don't like such a "backward country" like Malaysia lah...

i agree with you, Remsal and Ray.

i refuse to comment more, since i'm a malay guy, and somehow rather feel very offended by Namewee's action towards TNB staffs, the govt and the country.

i strongly suggest for Namewee to buy his own generator.

well speaking in a diplomatic way, if any of your family members are sitting for major examination and it keeps black out, you'd be concern how they are going to study in pitch darkness. add that to the frequency of black out and non-response of TNB hotline (which may be at that time busy due to all people calling) i believe there would be some of us who'd lose patience and may take take up action like what Namewee did. However, what he did was simply harsh and he never think of any future consequence. your point is right though that he is just hot-headed, non-polite youth who would lose it everytime anything doesn't go his way.

it is my believe in order to see this video one must release oneself of all the negativity and emotionality as if one still is clouded by these two, it will be utterly impossible for one to see this video in logical manner and assess it without causing any hurt to other people of different race.

My take? He's doing it for himself, using the same formula as Negarakuku.

I was very skeptical about the "all his lyrical work on his notebook all gone" bit.

Er...dude, your notebook has a sign that says "Batteries Not Included"?

Even without that, auto-save somehow not working?

I don't know what the heck he's doing but few thoughts came into my mind.

1. Funny video, because of his profanity. He's simply an attention seeker searching for fame.

2. Stupid person, becoming irrational of what he's doing. He should ask politely.

3. In a rational point of view, perhaps he's really really frustrated that the electrical supply breaksdown and shuts down...He mentioned that it happened 3 times since he came back...that sounds bad.

4. Other places had more blackout than in Muar, some of the places like Sandakan had more blackouts than Muar (saw on one of the comments in his video on youtube). In this sense, TNB memang lanjiao in doing their job.

Well juz some of my lame opinions, well I do like his expression (the way he express it) but not the actions.

One more thing, he's only representing himself , or maybe his bro...LOL. Definitely not representing the Chinese community.

i hate TNB too, but i hate this namewee moron more

i think it's v. childish of him. the TNB workers exercised a lot of patience not bashing him up

one thing to clarify:
There is a difference in being brave and being a fool. His is definitely, a fool.

And P1 got a "good" name by getting him for one of the lousy 15Malaysia videos of potong sage, also of the same formula.

There's just a lack of social inhibition in him, which actually qualifies for one of the psychiatric disorder he might have.

It has gone into his head! I did not watch his 1st video - the one where he showed a total lack of love for his country...and I have not watched any of the others, and I do not intend to. Didn't he apologise for the 1st one when he got into hot soup? Obviously some people never learn...

Totally agree with ur view. For me, he did not spark any racial hatred toward any other races, instead, I became more embarrassed of my own race bcoz of extreme retards like him.

thanks for sharing your thoughts on this issue.

at least i know i'm not alone in this case where i know he's at fault and still makes a video out of it.

he lack of manners...he should be more calmed and do proper report instead even though his family are sitting for exams and it frequently blackout...

he's only making embarrassment to Chinese people...and Malaysians overall.

what for we have many races in this world???...for us to get to know each other of course...not for making things like this...

i'm totally agree with your view

i have to say he's really daring, i think he did this to represent himself and also the people in his neighbourhood. no doubt he's kinda rude, but i personally think its understandable. its clear that the TNB staffs were quite ignorant and not friendly.
but no matter what, if both parties were to talk properly, the arguements could be eliminated.

his secondary school's teachers actually teaches him to be anti-malaysia. sad but true.r

no doubt he is brave and has guts but somehow i felt is a disgrace to chinese community. Don't u think so rob?!! who in world doesnt know 15454 doesnt based in other places besides HQ @ KL.. come on!! and he talked as do he's the right one and the worst part was the ending.. non stop effing words..

When you finished writing a piece of song, and suddenly its gone coz of blackout, how will you react?

Well, I know this is an outdated thing.. But I totally agree with whatever you said up there. He is just too irrational and not understanding at all.

He doesn't make sense at all. Can't he listen to explanation? TNB is not so stupid to shutdown at strange hours to do maintenance work or whatever. Tell me when did TNB ever shutdown in the night for maintenance or what.

Childish and immature. Buat [cina] malu aje.

hmm... there are always 2 sides to a coin...

on the one hand, i would be very angry if the area i lived in had that much power failure... and also the fact that the only lit place at that blackout was the tnb building... that just adds more fuel to the flame. so i can certainly see where he is coming from.

on the other hand, he probably could have made the video with less vulgar terms... im happy that he points out the shortcommings of tnb, but its the way in which he uses his vulgar terms that degrades his video.

finally, maybe by doing something extreme is the only way to get people's attention to the matter at muar... back in kl... if there was more than 1 power outage a year i would be freaked out.

Andrew.C said...

Absolutely agreed.

We don't need any people to inflict more damage to the integrity between races anymore.

The situation is bad enough. We should do better.

Namewee is a MORON.

You can tell by the setup that he already planned to pull of the stunt.

Look dimwit Mr. Negarakuku. If you're so "brave" why don't you walk into the TNB HQ, find the CEO and make this sort of accusation? After all the fault lies in management... not the poor overnight CLERICAL staff who wasn't responsible for the breakdown.

I agree with others that say Namewee gives Chinese people a bad name. We complain about the "Keris wielding" extremist malays... and here you go... a dumbass, selfish, egotistic buffoon.

How embarrassing.

nogra said...

What an idiot...this Namewee. TNB is not responsible for your song. I bet you just made it up so you have an excuse to make a fuss.

And hello you also knew calling the hotline would not do any good because the whole Muar is also calling it. Do you think the emergency hotline worked in New York during 9/11? I don't think so.

Have some brains... and don't malu-kan all of us.

he just brings disgrace to the chinese if he is ever dare to "stand up" for the chinese again... the video depicted him as if he's illiterate..

The best to treat this kind of 'attention-needed' scumbag is to ignore them. We never ask him 'to represent Chinese' simply because he was not, is not, and will not represent us if he continuous doing what he is currently doing. [Poke Namewee]
