Starcraft 2

It's here!

The release date was on 27 July which was Tuesday, but I only managed to get my hands on it Wednesday due to unforeseen circumstances. I pre-ordered though, thus my game was there. When I collect it from Lowyat, I heard they ran out of stock for walk-in customers.

Guess the Starcraft hype is pretty huge despite the steep price of RM248 for the original game. I've completed the story and I still think the price is steep (story is kinda short.. and you know there are more stories in the 2 expansions). Zach was really into the story. Every time I played the game, he would just wait till I finish the mission so he can watch the cut scenes. He didn't thought it was worth it to spend RM248 for the game

Starcraft 2 practically requires you to have a Battlenet account even just to play the campaigns because they have all those achievements you can score and show off for. LOL. It's like, finishing the campaign under Hard mission in less than 20 minutes or something like that. It's pretty fun to challenge yourself to do that. That being said, though I have the CD to install the game, it serves no purpose if there's no additional CD Key (for Battlenet account) and Zach can't play his own campaign.

Watching him watch me play... kinda made me feel sad. I don't like to see how my beloved Zach ain't able to play Starcraft just because the price is steep. Since I happen to have some extra blings in my wallet this month, I took the initiative and bought him another Starcraft 2! Woohoo!!

Now he's stuck in front of his PC playing campaigns. Hahahaha.

For me, it's time to horn my skills as the Zerg player. I've always loved playing Zerg. So far I think all the races are pretty much balanced, but one of the things that I hate the most about Terran is their bunker, supply depots and siege tanks defense. Normally when that happens, it's almost impossible for Zerg to swarm and take down the buildings to get inside. Back in the old days, we had Queen to Spawn Broodling the Siege Tanks but in this set... there ain't no fast flying moving queen to Spawn and Broodlings. :(

Oh well, no point complaining. I'll just get back to the game and train my Zerg skills some more. For the Queen of Blades!! RAWRR!!
