I'm back!

Am quite sick of myself apologizing every time I don't blog for a long time so I'm just gonna pretend nothing happened especially since I don't put a date on my posts (one of the reasons to mislead people that I am still actively blogging). LOL

So what's new?

Driving a car sure is expensive T_T . Petrol and parking is a bitch and not to mention the bloody car loan to repay. I'm so broke these days. Wuwuwuwuwu.

Let's not talk about the sad part. The good part is, I get to go where I want much easier these days. I can play more Magic, hit the gym (lies), fetch Zach to work/home when it rains and go Klang to eat my favorite Bak Kut Teh. Wheeeee. I feel much in control of my life now that I don't have to rely on public transport (the fear of not finding a cab in the middle of the night) and excessive commuting time (imagine taking KTM =.=)

All the puppies have found new homes. I sure hope that Big Girl, Star Girl & Boy Boy are well taken care of. I think I undervalued them for selling as low as RM350-RM450 though but never mind. I just hope that they are cared for. ^_^

Oh, I'm keeping Small Girl which we've named as Coffee (her breathe smells like coffee) because she was previously malnourished due to virus infection in her stomach. She's growing fine now but we want to ensure that she grows well before even considering looking for a new home for her. We're most likely keeping her permanently to be honest. ^_^

I'm getting better in Magic, I think. I've been topping mini tournaments recently and am quite happy I made little mistakes (even though my deck was quite overwhelming for those tourneys). I hope I continue improving my play skills. ^_^

A new set is getting released next week - New Phyrexia. Unlike other recent sets that I looked forward to, this set is quite horrible in my opinion, in terms of functionality of rares & Mythics. The only cards that I really liked were


This card is a bomb for any control decks (decks that I will definitely play). Life gain is important to ensure Control decks stay alive and outrun faster decks like RDW or Boros. Obviously now with Stoneforge Mystic in the format, this card is bonkers, but even without the tutoring Kor in the format, Batterskull will continue to be an important element for Control decks (it's colorless for god sake!) especially when Baneslayer's contract might not be extended in the core set.

Did you see that it comes with a free germ attached to it? Yes, 5 mana for a 4/4 black germ, lifelink vigilance. If your germ dies, you can either equip it to another creature or simply return to your hand and cast it again! Oh how broken it can be. Definitely a control dream came true.


2 mana 0/4 is decent. With players running creatures with protection and stuff, he blocks everything down the drain of 4 power (control likes this). It is also vital in late games in case anyone tries to murder a finisher from a control player using targeted removals (Wurmcoil Engine).

Other than these 2 cards, the others don't seem to excite me that much (maybe a few uncommons but they are not crazy, I think). Overall the new set seems very flavorful to narrate how Mirrodin is turned into New Phyrexia but brings little value to tournament players at least in the forms of Rares & Mythic Rares.

Well, that in a way is good news for me so I don't need to spend too much on Magic this set.

Am going to Bangkok in 2 weeks time for 7 days and I have very little budget to spend thanks to my crazy expenses these days. Will RM1k be sufficient? I'm not sure, but I'll try to stretch it as much as I can for sure.

Will be visiting all the tourists destination with Zach and I don't care what anyone says, I'm using an umbrella in day time because the heat is freaking unbearable the last time I was at Bangkok. LOL.
